Blair Hall Renovation

Project Overview

Heapy designed the Mechanical-Electrical systems for the 28,000 SF renovation of Blair Hall. Blair Hall houses the department of education, which includes classrooms, offices, computer labs, and the department of theatre including a black box theatre.

The project includes the complete replacement of all of the plumbing, heating, ventilating, and electrical systems in the building including all piping, ductwork, conduit, wire and equipment.

It includes a new HVAC system including a new chiller and while providing a complete fire suppression system for the entire building. The renovation utilized the existing steam service to heat the building.

This project is LEED Gold. This project was certified under the LEED for New Construction rating system.

This project was awarded a 2010 ABC Excellence in Construction Award.
