Wake Forest University Buildings Assessment

Project Detail:

Size 180,000 SF

Markets:

HEAPY was tasked with conducting a comprehensive assessment of two key buildings within the Wake Forest University campus. These structures, each spanning two levels, collectively covered an area of approximately 180,000 square feet. Our assessment encompassed a wide array of systems and components, including parking facilities, classrooms, auditoriums, stormwater management, site lighting, structural and architectural elements, food service areas, fire protection systems, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and elevators.

Our approach involved a technical evaluation of all building components to identify existing issues and potential improvements. Following this evaluation, HEAPY provided recommendations aimed at upgrading, modernizing, or replacing systems as necessary to ensure the buildings met current standards and efficiency requirements.

To facilitate effective implementation, HEAPY also presented a sequenced and prioritized list of recommendations. This strategic approach allowed for a phased execution of the suggested improvements, making the process manageable and cost-effective.

Furthermore, HEAPY developed a 10-year capital plan to guide the completion of the recommended work. This plan served as a roadmap for Wake Forest University, ensuring that all upgrades and modernizations were carried out systematically, with a clear vision for the future.
