Project Overview

“The Banks” is a development featuring a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week diverse, pedestrian-friendly urban neighborhood with a mix of uses consisting of residential housing, specialty retail, restaurants, entertainment, offices, boutiques, hotel space, public green space and parking. Located on the Ohio River, The Banks is a unique focal point of the Greater Cincinnati Region.

Heapy provided the Mechanical-Electrical design for the new “Banks” Parking Garage in Cincinnati. The new parking garage has a total of 1,778 parking spaces.

Electrical design included power distribution including main electrical service and grounding, parking deck, façade, stair and MEP space lighting, emergency power including an emergency generator, telephone and data systems, power and rough-ins for both parking access control equipment and security systems.

Mechanical design includes garage ventilation and HVAC systems for enclosed spaces.

Plumbing design included underground sanitary piping with wyes to above 489 level for overbuild, underground storm piping with wyes to above 489 level for overbuild, storm and sanitary piping floor decks and drains and domestic water distribution for garage wash down system and any other associated water requirements. Fire Protection design included sprinklers (dry pipe system) and fire pump, standpipes and fire alarm system.
