Sinclair Community College Health Sciences Center
Cost $31,500,000
Size 141,000 SF
HEAPY provided the Mechanical-Electrical design for this cutting-edge health sciences center. The project added approximately 59,000 SF of space and renovated the existing Ned J. Sifferlin Center, allowing for the consolidation of health programs from multiple buildings on campus into one central space.
This facility revolutionizes the delivery of health care education using state-of-the-art simulation and collaborative education that replicates a modern hospital. New simulation labs are equipped with cameras and recording devices so students can watch and review their performances. Professors are also able to use the technology to live-stream simulations to review in real-time or allow classes to watch.
The $31.5 million investment will allow for 25% student growth in the health sciences field. The 141,000 SF facility now houses more than 40 programs, including:
- Allied Health
- Dental Health Sciences
