HEAPY is currently providing engineering design services for the plumbing, fire suppression, electrical and technology systems associated with the new construction of two Greater Clark Elementary Schools.
One facility is a K-5 school that will be 125,000 SF with a student capacity of approximately 1,000 students. The other facility will be 132,000 SF with a student capacity of approximately 1,200 students. The two buildings will be similar except for additional classrooms on each wing for the larger school. The two schools are to be located in Jeffersonville, IN and Charlestown, IN.
The electrical design will include all normal building electric systems power interior and exterior building lighting, fire alarm, and basic parking lot and site lighting. Power grid and rough-in raceways are included in the fee.
HEAPY’s Information and Communication Technology team will provide design services for the network cabling to support the low voltage systems in support of the computers, phones, access point for wireless, access control, IP cameras, and access control.
During the planning / programing meetings, HEAPY will work with the team to establish the locations of the card readers and the sequence of operations for the doors connecting to the existing systems. In addition, our team will design the audio / video systems for classrooms, meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, as well as training rooms. HEAPY will with work with the design team and stake holders to coordinate the conduits and pathways for each of the above systems.
