RICK BENNETT,

CEM, CHC, CPMP, CXA, EMP, LEED AP BD+C , MANAGER, BUILDING OPTIMIZATION GROUP, INDIANA

Rick joined Heapy as a Commissioning Authority. Working as the owner’s representative, Rick manages several Commissioning projects where he is responsible for all acceptance testing, documentation, trouble-shooting, and studies technical documents. Rick has over 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry as a service technician, supervisor, instructor and designer. His areas of expertise include: high and low pressure chillers, large DX systems, pneumatics, hydronics, air make up, computer room systems, process equipment, steam high and low pressure, and frequency drives.

KIMBERLY BURNS

LEED AP BD+C, PLUMBING ENGINEER, HEALTHCARE PRACTICE

Kim has been in the AEC industry since 2010. She is involved in the design of basic plumbing systems as well as special systems including acid waste, kitchen waste, compressed air, medical gases, water and waste water treatment and fire suppression systems. As a Plumbing Engineer, she is responsible for the systems concept, design, cost estimating, specification writing, and construction follow-up for the projects. Kim has designed Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for Hospital, Institutional, Educational and Commercial facilities.

JAMES GALLICK,

CEM, LEED AP BD+C, O+M, ENGINEER, BUILDING OPTIMIZATION GROUP

James is responsible for LEED Project Administration, Energy Analysis and Energy Assessments, Sustainable Design and Energy Modeling as part of his role in Heapy’s Building Optimization Practice. His LEED Project Administration responsibilities include managing the LEED certification process for building owners and project teams. He has been involved with Sustainable Design/ Energy Consulting on multiple projects including Educational Facilities, Office Buildings, Government Facilities, and Laboratories. James is a Mechanical Engineer, and is currently pursuing an MBA.

BRYAN KINCH,

LEED AP BD+C, ENGINEER, BUILDING OPTIMIZATION GROUP

Bryan is responsible for energy analysis and sustainability project administration in his role with Heapy. His project experience includes Higher Education, Government, and Commercial facilities.

JUSTIN SINGER,

LEED AP BD+C, ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, HEALTHCARE PRACTICE

Justin began his career with Heapy as a co-op while attending Wright State University and then hired on fulltime in 2015. He has gained experience in electrical design including: Primary and Secondary Power Distribution Systems, Lighting and Controls, Motor Controls, Fire Alarm Systems and Nurse Call. He has designed electrical systems for healthcare institutions, medical office buildings, educational and commercial facilities. Justin is primarily responsible for electrical and systems design including drawings, specifications, cost estimating and systems coordination with other project designers.

AARON WEBER,

CHC, CPMP, LEED AP BD+C, CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR, HEALTHCARE PRACTICE

Working as the owner’s representative, Aaron manages several Commissioning projects where he is responsible for all acceptance testing, documentation, trouble-shooting, and studies/technical documents. The commissioning process verifies that the Mechanical-Electrical systems specified in the construction documents work as designed and allows the building owner to realize the benefits of improved occupant comfort, increased energy efficiency and reduced building operation and maintenance costs.
