Sinclair Community College Generation 4 Integrated Student Services
HEAPY provided Mechanical-Electrical design and field observation services for the plumbing, fire suppression, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical, and technology systems for the renovation and addition of Sinclair Community College Generation 4 Integrated Student Services Building 10. This Building 10 project included upgrades to main entryway and offices, as well as updates to the aging electrical grid.
This project entails replacement of the normal and emergency electrical grid system for Voice/Data/CATV, Public Address Systems, Wireless LAN (WIFI) Design and Predictive Modeling, Distributed Antenna Systems, and Electronic Safety and Security Systems. The professional engineering design services were coordinated and performed in manner, sequence, and timing with that of the architect and additional consultants. All decisions pertaining to the project were made in a timely and judicious manner in order to avoid unreasonable delay or rework for design.
The purpose of the new Student Services Center Redesign is to simplify access to the college by creating an identifiable front door. The redesign integrates and co-locates the delivery of student services to ease entry and improve training and staffing for a consistent, high-quality student experience. The new center gives students a sense of a world-class, collegiate environment.
Sinclair Community College has nationally ranked academics and offers more than 220 programs for its 28,000 students. Total Construction Cost for the project is $13M.
