Newfields: A Place for Nature & the Arts engaged HEAPY through AES Indiana’s Retro-Commissioning (RCx) Program with the goal of identifying opportunities to maximize building energy performance, while also maintaining building operating conditions that protect Newfields’ collection and support a comfortable environment for guests, staff, and volunteers.
HEAPY identified opportunities for Newfields to save over 15% in annual electric savings through measures that address building system controls, mechanical air handling, zone terminal units, and hydronic system operations. The program engaged Newfields throughout the process to help them understand their opportunities, obtain contractor pricing, and verify that completed work was delivering expected energy savings.
On top of this, Newfields earned over $80,000 in AES Indiana Program incentives to support their project goals.
