HEAPY was commissioned to assess and provide master planning services for both buildings of the Montgomery County Jail Facility in Dayton, Ohio. The field investigative work consisted of currently installed building systems and components, as well as evaluation of building system conditions and recommended / necessary upgrades.
HEAPY identified the condition of the equipment, the remaining useful service life and deferred maintenance concerns, all operation and safety issues, regulatory compliance concerns, and other similar characteristics of the Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, Security, Technology, and Electrical systems.
The Fire/Alarm/HVAC/Electrical Assessment and Electrical Thermal Imaging Services were as follows:
- Fire pump
- Sprinkler System and Accessories
- Standpipe System and Accessories
- Fire Alarm System
Additional items assessed were the domestic hot/cold water distribution system and fixtures, the domestic hot water heating system, the sanitary and storm water drainage system.
All recommendations for replacement or upgrade were provided along with an approximate probable cost, project timeline, and the anticipated maintenance savings.
