Kettering Health Network was presented a $50,000 energy efficiency rebate check from Dayton Power & Light for the recently completed Troy Hospital.  The three-story, 100,000 SF acute care hospital features an Emergency Department, Observation Rooms, Outpatient Lab, Cancer Center and Surgery Center.

Some of the savings figures associated with the efficient lighting and mechanical equipment include:

  • Over 2,000,000 kWh annually in energy savings
  • Nearly 300 kW annually in demand savings
  • $800,000 in annual energy cost avoidance over 10 years

This savings is a result of:

  • LED lighting
  • High efficiency chilled water plant
  • High efficiency hot water boilers for heating hot water
