Peggy Mark, RN, PhD, System Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, Premier Health

Peggy Mark

Peggy has been the System Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for Premier Health since May of 2017. In August of 2020 she also assumed responsibilities of System Chief Experience Officer focusing on patient experience across the continuum of care.

In her role as Chief Nursing Officer Peggy is responsible for the practice of approximately 4000 nurses, patient care technicians, health unit coordinators and advanced practice providers across the care continuum.  In addition, she is responsible for the division of Integrated Care that includes social work, case management, clinical documentation, and physician advisors as well as the Clinical Education division ensuring that clinical education is effective, high quality and coordinated across the health system.


Nancy Viramontes, Director of Employee Engagement and Leadership Development, Kettering Health

Nancy Viramontes

Nancy leads the design and implementation of leadership development programs and employee experience strategies that strengthen organizational culture and position teams for growth. She has served in this role since 2018.

Nancy has been part of Kettering Health Human Resources for 14 years, serving as an HR Leadership Partner and HR Manager for Employee Engagement prior to transitioning into her current role in 2018.


Bukari Miles, Director of Human Resources, PSS and Miami Valley Hospital (Moderator)

Bukari Miles

Bukari believes that hard work and tenacity are the corner stones for success.  His favorite quote is, “Friendship is essential to the soul”.  He partners with CEOs, executives and all staff to help the organization win in the marketplace.  He has been a part of the Premier Health family for 8 years.  He is married, a father of 3, and a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.  Bukari spent over two decades in the US Air Force working in telecommunications and human resources before retirement.

Richard Haas, Senior Vice President, Ancillary Services, Kettering Health

Richard Haas

Richard Haas is a Senior Vice President at Kettering Health. In this role, he coordinates the system’s real estate, construction and design including multiple free-standing emergency departments, medical office building prototypes and the recent construction of a 125,000 sq. ft. cancer center on the Kettering Health Main Campus that will consolidate significant portions of the network’s oncology services.

Previously, Haas served as Senior Executive Officer of Kettering Health Miamisburg and President of Kettering Health Dayton. He was instrumental in improving Kettering Health Miamisburg’s accessibility, capacity and visibility and spearheading the design and redevelopment of Kettering Health Dayton’s campus, which included a $40M expansion. Haas holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an Associate’s degree in Construction Science from Union College as well as an MBA from Avila College and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.


Daric Hess, PE, LEED AP BD+C, Senior Principal, Healthcare Practice Director, HEAPY

Daric Hess

As the Healthcare Practice Director, Daric provides guidance to the firm’s engineering staff on matters regarding the latest innovations in healthcare design and the development of design tools, codes and overall industry insight. Daric is responsible for the conceptual design and the development of innovative engineering solutions for design projects across the healthcare market’s broad spectrum of facilities. He provides valuable technical leadership to project teams, adding insight and creativity from the initial project planning stages through design reviews and throughout the construction process. He also is responsible for evaluating and integrating new electrical technologies into the firm’s design process. Daric collaborates closely with healthcare project teams to develop readily practical design strategies that contribute to positive patient-focused outcomes.


Ryan Hoffman, PE, CEM, BEAP, LEED AP BD+C, O+M, Principal, Building Optimization Practice Director, HEAPY (Moderator)

Ryan Hoffman

Ryan is the Operations Practice Leader for HEAPY’s Building Optimization Practice and has a tremendous history of superior client relationships where he has led strategic conversations around existing and new market sectors. He will take the last 13 years he has spent at HEAPY where he continuously helps clients navigate the toughest challenges related to building sustainability and resiliency, and identify new opportunities while expanding our current services through partnership with new and existing clients specifically utilities, higher education, hospitals and other key stakeholders critical to mission accomplishment.

Ryan’s direct oversight of Energy Conservation and LEED services projects includes: LEED Program Management, Energy Modeling, Energy Master Planning, Energy Auditing, Utility Analysis, Renewable Energy System Assessments and Retro-fit/implementation projects involving all of the above. He is also knowledgeable in the ASHRAE Standard 90.1 Appendix G Energy Modeling process, ENERGY STAR, and other energy legislation.

Ryan is a frequent lecturer on LEED and Green Building concepts and has educated hundreds of industry professionals on methods and processes to create sustainable and resilient (Net Zero) buildings.

Diana C. Anderson, MD, M.Arch

Diana C. Anderson

Diana is a licensed architect and a board-certified healthcare architect with the Order of Architects of Quebec (OAQ) and the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA), in addition to a licensed Internist and board-certified physician through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). She completed her medical residency training at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia  University Medical Center in New York City.

As a “dochitect”, Dr. Anderson combines educational and professional experience in both medicine and architecture, in order to truly understand what is involved in medical planning and working within the healthcare environment. Dr. Anderson has worked on hospital design projects within the United States, Canada and Australia, specializing in medical planning of inpatient units, specifically intensive care unit environments.

Mikki Clancy, Chief Digital Officer, Premier Health

Mikki Clancy

Mary “Mikki” Clancy has been Premier Health since 1994.  Prior to her current role as Chief Digital Officer, Mikki served in various capacities for the organization, including Chief Operating Officer of Miami Valley Hospital, System Vice President of Oncology Services, System Vice President and Chief Information Officer; Consulting Director of Information Services; Director of Y2K; and Internal Audit Senior Systems Specialist. During her tenure, she is credited with beginning the Information Security Program, the early adoption of the Epic Electronic Health Record, extending the Electronic Health Record to private physicians in the community, coordinating integration of services during Good Samaritan closure, and Premier Health incident commander during the COVID-19 pandemic.


Mark Murdock, MHA, FACHE, Medical Center Director of the Dayton VAMC

Mark Murdock

Mark previously served as Dayton’s Associate Director from 2013 to 2017, Director of the Cincinnati VAMC from 2018 to 2020, and Director of the Chillicothe VAMC from 2017 to 2018. His VA career has included assignments as the Program Manager, VISN 10/11 Tele-Nurse Triage Program, Dayton, OH and Health System Specialist, Surgical Service at the VAMC Dayton, OH. Before coming to the VA, following retirement from active duty, he worked for private sector companies and government contractors in the healthcare industry.

As both a clinical expert and a health care operations leader, John’s areas of knowledge have allowed Kettering Health to expand services and facilities while cutting costs and enhancing the patient experience. His attention to detail, planning ability, and big-picture thinking provides essential support needed to deliver high quality, streamlined patient care at high volumes, while ensuring high return on investments and revenue-building. One such example is the innovative  Operations Command Center, which streamlines and simplifies over 1,000 patient transfers a day and has changed the way the network handles emergency operations.

Edward Syron

Ed Syron is the Regional Coordinator for Veteran Services at the Miami University regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown. He is also still an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Population & Public Health Sciences, Boonshoft School of Medicine where he has been a lecturer and course director for both spring and fall semesters for the past 10 years; sits on the curriculum development committee and is a member of the Physician Leadership Development Program Advisory Board.

He is also the CEO and President of MarketMatch, a company that provides detailed and expert-level marketing, consulting and professional services in support of evaluation and implementation of comprehensive marketing, sales, public relations and branding programs to financial institutions.


Maximilian Maile, Vice President of Virtual Health, Parkview Health System

Max works with various team members throughout the organization to help grow services and strategic direction with virtual care in the North East Indiana area. Prior to joining the Virtual Health team, Max was the Vice President of Medical Specialties, and has a background in entrepreneurship and economics.

Mike has presented at multiple Epic user group meetings and is recognized by Epic as a resource for other organizations to give insight to the planning of successful physician outreach programs.

Mike is a proven Business Development Executive/Healthcare IT Leader with extensive experience developing, implementing, and managing Tele-Health and Epic programs. Mike navigates and leads change through deliberate planning, collaboration, communication, and relationship development to meet strategic objectives and operates with a strong sense of urgency and thrives in a fast-paced setting. Mike has operationally led the growth of a “hospital in a hospital” concept, managing strategy, marketing, education and contract negotiations.
