Stephanie has a passion for leading sustainable and resilient change. Since February of 2019, she has served on the Board of Directors of the Cleveland 2030 District. “I’m extremely excited and honored to hold the position and be a leader within the community,” states Ferro.
As Board Chair, Stephanie is excited to utilize her experience working as an energy manager and believes these experiences are critical to understanding the challenges building owners and operators experience when setting and achieving their performance goals. She is also excited to share her knowledge in dealing with complex sustainability problems garnered while completing her Master of Philosophy in Engineering for Sustainable Development at the University of Cambridge, UK.
Her core background is in understanding the built environment, developed while completing her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Stephanie is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Commissioning Technician (CxT) and is currently developing a new process for preparing the reports shared with district member properties.
The Cleveland 2030 District is a movement to create high-performance building districts throughout Greater Cleveland with the goal of dramatically reducing the environmental impacts of building construction and operations while increasing Cleveland’s competitiveness in the business environment and increasing owners’ return on investment.
