In May 2014, Marathon Petroleum announced they would purchase Hess Corporation’s Retail business for $2.8 billion which included over 1400 Hess Stores. Heapy was brought on to provide design services to renovate over 100 stores to incorporate the Speedway Marketing Standards and improve store sales.
Stores are located in North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, New York, Massachusetts, Virginia and Kentucky. Heapy coordinated the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Architectural elements from field takeoffs to concept design and coordination with Speedway on the final floor plan. Heapy then produced Construction Drawings and provided Construction Administration consulting services to complete the stores.
Speedway has indicated that Heapy is one of the best provider of services and response to issues and our relationship is continuing with design services for new build stores throughout the Midwest now and in the future.
Planning for the New Normal
Plumbing Systems Re-Occupancy and Ongoing Operations
Your building may have been shut down these past many months due to WFH/COVID. Minimal use of your building’s water systems creates stagnant water in your plumbing system piping and equipment, which promotes the growth of Legionella and/or other biofilm-associated bacteria. This places your building occupants at risk when re-occupancy occurs. Now is the time to develop and implement a safe and effective Water Management Plan to protect your building occupants, maximizing their health and safety upon re-occupancy.
