Project Overview

For this internationally acclaimed project, Heapy was responsible for the design of the Mechanical-Electrical systems. The new 80,000 SF building, located in downtown Cincinnati includes four floors with several mezzanines and an atrium, to provide exhibit galleries, performance space, workshops, offices, and public spaces.

The architectural design is the first in North America for the Signature Architectural design firm of Zaha Hadid, London, England.

This project had a Mechanical-Electrical cost of $3,760,000 and a total construction cost of $13,760,000.

The New York Times called the Contemporary Arts Center “the most important American building to be completed since the end of cold war.” – June 2003
