Oakwood City School District Master Facilities Plan Phase I

Cost $19,000,000
Size 355,000 SF
HEAPY has had a long-standing relationship with Oakwood City School District. We originally conducted the master plan study for infrastructure upgrades and improvements for three buildings, including cost estimating to establish a project budget for bond issue.
HEAPY was selected to represent the School District as the Engineer of Record for the improvements identified as Phase I of the District’s Master Facilities Plan. We provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for classroom additions, science lab renovations, ADA upgrades, as well as infrastructure upgrades and improvements for Smith Elementary, Harmon Elementary, and the Junior High / High School. Commissioning of the project was also completed through HEAPY’s Building Optimization team.
The Phase I Goals of the District’s Master Facilities Plan included roofing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, technology, and security improvements at the District’s Junior High/High School building and targeted infrastructure improvements at the District’s Harman School building and Smith Elementary School building. The total project size included 35,000 SF of new construction, 20,000 SF of renovation, and infrastructure upgrades to 300,000 SF of existing buildings.
