Heapy provided the Mechanical-Electrical design for St. Ann’s Project GRACE (Growing Regional Advanced Centers of Excellence). The project adds a 60-bed patient tower, heart center, new main entry, renovated kitchen, dining addition, parking garage and addition to the central utility plant for chillers and generators. The hospital also received a facelift. The main entrance moved from Cleveland Avenue to the south side of the complex.
Specifically, the project includes 2 new Operating Rooms, 1 endo OR with imaging equipment and 2 future OR’s. The imaging equipment vendor was Siemens.
The heart center expansion allows St. Ann’s to offer a wide range of state-of-the-art cardiovascular services, including diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, interventional cardiology services such as angioplasty, non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic testing, electrophysiology services, peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional services. This results in a new multi-story wing to the hospital.
Heapy provided Structured Cabling (Voice/Data/CATV), a Distributed Antenna System, WLAN, a Nurse Call System and Electronic Safety & Security (Electronic Access Control and Closed Circuit Television System) Design for the Patient Tower Addition. A Telecommunications Grounding/Bonding Design was also provided in accordance with TIA/EIA 607A.
Construction of the renovation and addition was $61,400,000.
