HEAPY provided Commissioning Services for the $74 million expansion which adds 90 private patient rooms, an 18-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, a 21-bed medical-surgical intensive care unit, an expanded surgical suite and three new 30-bed units devoted to surgical and orthopedic patients in a five-story, 150,000 SF tower. Other renovations took place in the Family Birthing Center, operating suites and cafeteria.
HEAPY Solutions provided a complete engineer led turnkey project to replace and upgrade the Mercy Health Anderson Hospital Main Kitchen Hood with minimum impact to the kitchen operation. The turnkey solution included design, permit, bidding, management and construction associated with the kitchen upgrade. The project included cleaning of the existing grease ductwork, installation of a fire barrier, shaft wall, grease access doors, replacement of the main kitchen hood, and grease exhaust fan. Also included in the project was the installation of a variable exhaust hood control system, a fire alarm interface, remote monitoring by the building DDC system and a restoration of the kitchen finishes.
