HEAPY provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the Chick-fil-A Dining Commons addition at Cedarville University. Attached to Centennial Library and overlooking Cedar Lake, the new 300-seat Chick-fil-A dining space provides students, faculty, and visitors with another roomy and comfortable eatery location on campus.
The new building was strategically located next to the library, at the heart of campus. Students leaving classes in the Center for Biblical and Theological Studies, or finishing up in the library, now have an easy on-their-way alternative for lunch and dinner. The Chick-fil-A facility also provides an inviting option for campus visitors during CU Friday and other special events.
The new eatery features large window spaces with scenic views of Cedar Lake, sunsets, and the northern campus buildings. Kitchens and serving spaces are secured after normal hours of operation so that students can enjoy open spaces to study and build community.
