Engineering and Leadership Experience
Larry is a Senior Project Manager in HEAPY’s Healthcare Practice, focusing on projects in a variety of healthcare facilities, including high acuity patient care spaces such as OR Suites, Cath Labs, Imaging Suites, Labs, Pharmacies, NICU, Labor and Delivery, and Oncology spaces. He is a technical leader with significant experience in the design of Power Distribution Systems, Emergency Power Supply Systems, Lighting and Controls, Nurse Call, Fire Alarm, and other low-voltage systems.
Larry collaborates closely with all stakeholders, as well as all engineering disciplines, and encourages open communication, close coordination, and accountability to provide high-quality service for our clients. He empowers his team to adhere to client project requirements, project schedule, and construction budget. Larry is driven to develop meaningful relationships, and he thrives on serving as a trusted advisor and a dependable team member for our clients and our colleagues. He is very passionate about mentoring less experienced engineers and enjoys being a mentor for new colleagues and co-ops, hoping to be a positive influence in their personal life, family, and career.
Ultimately, Larry wants to leave a legacy where his clients and colleagues look back and remember that he made a meaningful impact, with a simple motto of “always give your best effort.”
Larry graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and started his career at HEAPY in 1986 as a manual draftsman while still in college. He was mentored and trained, gradually assuming more responsibilities and becoming a production engineer, then a project manager. He was elevated to a firm Principal in 2015.
