Kurt Fansler, PE, HFDP

Kurt is a Senior Project Manager in our Education Practice with more than 24 years of experience. He oversees projects from initial acquisition through engineering design, permitting, construction administration, and closeout.

Kurt regularly collaborates with owners, architects, and contractors while overseeing team member milestones and production schedules. He is responsible for overseeing all design trades in the HEAPY Columbus Office. As a mechanical engineer, Kurt has specialized design experience with boilers, chillers, steam systems, VAV, and VRF systems, as well as chilled beam and geothermal designs for energy efficiency.

His plumbing design experience includes domestic water, sanitary, storm sewers, medical gas systems, acid waste and kitchen plumbing. Additionally, Kurt has fire protection design experience which includes clean agent protection, sprinklers, fire pumps and standpipe systems.  He is a Professional Engineer, ASHRAE Healthcare Facility Design Professional, and ASSE 6005 Medical Gas Systems Specialist.
