
Sonja is a highly accomplished healthcare executive with 25 years of experience in driving operational excellence, strategic marketing, and leading complex new construction projects. As the Director of Strategic Growth and Business Development at Dayton Children’s Hospital, Sonja has established herself as a leader in healthcare innovation and infrastructure development, significantly contributing to the growth of healthcare facilities and service offerings.
Throughout her career, Sonja has held key leadership roles at some of the region’s most respected healthcare institutions, including Quest Diagnostics, Kettering Health, and Dayton Children’s Hospital.
At Kettering Health, she led the operational readiness project management for several high-profile construction projects, including the Middletown Health Center/Emergency Department, Troy Hospital, and the Network Operations Command Center (NOCC), a state-of-the-art 17,000 square-foot facility designed to support Kettering Health’s network operations.
At Dayton Children’s, Sonja played a critical role in business development, overseeing the analysis and successful launch of several new Kids Express locations, outpatient care centers in Beavercreek and Centerville, and a mental health center in Springboro. Her strategic insights, data-driven approach, and ability to navigate complex healthcare needs have been instrumental in expanding the hospital’s reach and improving access to quality pediatric care.
Sonja is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and is well-versed in healthcare operations, patient-centered care, and consumer expectations.
