Ryan Thorpe has worked in the exhibition and events industry for 20+ years and is currently serving as Assistant General Manager for ASM Global at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Ryan is also a Regional Director of Operations for ASM Global, supporting 15 conventions centers and arenas throughout the Midwest. Thorpe previously held Director of Operations roles at McCormick Place in Chicago and the Oregon Convention Center. Ryan also participated on a sub-committee that helped develop the first APEX Green Meeting standards and has assisted multiple convention centers meet LEED certifications requirements during his career. Thorpe is an active member of IAVM and PCMA, and is past Chair of IAVM’s Industry Affairs Council and IAVM’s Sustainability Committee.
