Nick is a Project Manager in our Building Optimization Practice serving the East and Southeast United States from our Raleigh, North Carolina office, with more than 10 years of experience focused on energy, sustainability, and commissioning services to help reduce the impact of the built environment.
He has extensive experience leading teams to successfully execute new building commissioning, retro-commissioning, energy auditing, controls system retrofits, and energy optimization projects for healthcare, science and technology, laboratories, GMP environments, mission critical data centers, higher-education, and K-12 facilities. Nick focuses on uncovering potential energy and cost savings, as well as maintenance efficiencies, to help facility owners drive real performance and conserve resources.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Ohio University. Nick also has received the Energy Management Professional (EMP) accreditation from the Energy Management Association and has completed the Tridium Niagara 4 Technical Certification Training Program (TCP). As an ASHRAE Member, Nick has co-authored a white paper titled “Improving Data Center and Telecommunications System HVAC Design from Lessons Learned in Retro-Commissioning.”
He has a passion to help reduce our impact on the built environment to conserve what we have on this earth for future generations, so they are afforded the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of our world. As an avid outdoorsman, Nick spends his free time backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking, and fishing. He has travelled to 24 National Parks (and counting), hiked around Mt. Rainier, and summited Mt. Whitney.
