Jim has 29 years of electrical engineering experience, specializing in electrical distribution systems, PLC controls, fire alarms, lighting, communications, and electrical installations. He understands the unique requirements of electrical systems designed for mission-critical and secure facilities such as fire stations, police stations, courts, jails, and corrections institutions.

As a senior electrical engineer, Jim is responsible for developing a coordinated basis of design documents. He also oversees electrical power systems design, lighting design, lighting controls, fire alarm coordination and design, specifications, cost estimating, and final system coordination with other project designers involved in the design process.

His extensive experience spans an array of project types including government, industrial and manufacturing facilities, office buildings, as well as education, and telecommunication facilities.
