Jessica was appointed Associate Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer in September 2023 to guide the implementation of IU’s Climate Action Plan.  She is also an Associate Faculty in the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.  Jessica previously served as Director of the IU Indianapolis Office of Sustainability and IU-wide Interim University Director of Sustainability.  Before her time at IU, Jessica served as Program Manager of the Institute for Green and Sustainable Science at Marian University.

Jessica has received state and national recognition for her sustainability leadership.  Notably, she was named Women in Green Leadership Sheroe by the USGBC East North Central Region; Indiana Recycling Rock Star by Circular Indiana; Hoosier Resilience Hero by the IU Environmental Resilience Institute; and Environmental Innovator of the Year by the Green Sports Alliance.
