Jason is a Senior Mechanical Engineer with HEAPY’s Healthcare Practice who boasts specialized expertise in high-efficiency central plants, providing design solutions that streamline the delivery of care and improve patient outcomes. He designs new and retrofit HVAC systems for boilers, chiller plants, DDC control systems, high heat producing telecommunications equipment, laboratories, and more. Most recently, he has provided mechanical design for six boiler modernization and replacement projects across the United States for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Leveraging his experience during project planning, he develops innovative and sustainable solutions to create next generation healthcare facilities. Jason is adept at anticipating system needs and being thoughtful about pathways and clearances, collaborating with the entire design team to reduce issues during construction and improve overall facility form and function.
He is a licensed Professional Engineer, USGBC LEED Accredited Professional, a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and a graduate of Kettering University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He spends his free time helping his two sons, Jake and Jonathan, with their sports and enjoys watching them play.
