David is a project manager and mechanical technical leader for HEAPY’s healthcare practice. He is responsible for HVAC design, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimating. He has led the design of several complex healthcare projects including new buildings, major additions, and renovations.
With extensive experience in designing for prefabrication, David understands the importance of incorporating these approaches early into design. He focuses on collaboration and planning before the first line is ever drawn to maximize opportunities to save.
David’s design experience includes various types of buildings including hospitals, ambulatory care, cancer centers, medical office buildings, emergency departments, labs, medical education, and senior living facilities. He is a Professional Engineer and USGBC LEED Accredited Professional.
David received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Wright State University. He is the father of three boys, and he enjoys sports, particularly coaching youth baseball. He is also an avid drag racer.
