David is the Senior Vice President of Operational Solutions at Select Medical Corporation, where he provides leadership to the care and business management functions of 123 hospitals in 38 states that make up the Select Medical’s Critical Illness Recovery Hospital and Inpatient Rehabilitation Divisions.

Mr. Key has used his 17 years of experience in the post-acute healthcare industry, as well as various corporate leadership roles, to lead the development of dashboards that monitor Key Performance Indicators and provide real-time tools and resources to support front-line operations.

Mr. Key leads a team currently focused on opportunities for innovations related to transitions of care and recently drove the development of a new integrated workflow platform that encompasses the entire patient cycle from pre-admit to post-care ingraining best practices and workflow efficiencies to ensure appropriate and medically recurring care plan progression, as well as safe transitions of care. He has integrated the company’s focus on the patient, family, physician and employee into these initiatives to ensure the best and safest outcomes.
Mr. Key received his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University.
