Dan is a Group Manager and Senior Electrical Engineer with HEAPY’s healthcare practice and has more than 30 years of extensive experience in electrical design, including primary and secondary power distribution systems, lighting and controls, voice and data cabling infrastructure, motor controls, fire alarm systems, nurse call, intercom, and paging systems. He has designed electrical systems for hospitals, emergency departments, surgery centers, medical office buildings, and pharmacies, as well as for education and religious facilities, hotels, data centers, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, and retail centers.
In addition to his engineering training, Dan is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he was an electrician aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal. This experience allowed him to work as an electrician and earn his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University.
Dan is a registered professional engineer in several states. Dan is a devoted husband of 25 years and a father, with a daughter who is graduating with a master in Childrens Literature. He is very involved in his church, serving as a Deacon at St. Andrew Parish in Columbus, Ohio.
