Cynthia Cicigoi has experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. She has been the Executive Director of the Cleveland 2030 District since 2014 and is responsible for the overall management and operation of the District. Cleveland 2030 District is a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging Cleveland commercial building owners and property managers to reduce their environmental footprint and make Cleveland a leader in the movement to mitigate the climate emergency.

Before her work with the 2030 District, Cindy had over 30 years of experience in the high-performance building industry. Most of her career was spent with the RPM Building Solutions Group. RPM BSG consisted of five divisions supplying coatings, sealants, roofing materials, and concrete specialty products to the industrial construction market. She was Vice President of Global Sustainable Initiatives and was responsible for creating and implementing the company’s sustainable development strategy. She was also responsible for managing their headquarters’ campus of facilities. While in that role, the main building was retrofitted and certified as LEED Gold.

Ms. Cicicgoi participates in various City of Cleveland committees and working groups to further the city’s sustainable development. She is a US Green Building Council’s Northeast Ohio Local Leadership Team member. She also serves on the Board of Governors and Executive Committee of the 2030 Districts Network. As the Chairperson for the Districts Advisory Council, comprised of executive directors from all Districts, she is the liaison between Districts and the 2030 Districts Network.
