Amy is a seasoned health care leader with more than 35 years of experience spanning senior living, adult health systems, and pediatric health care. Her career has been dedicated to identifying emerging needs, elevating service delivery, and ensuring that every patient and family receives exceptional, compassionate, patient-centered care.

Amy serves as the corporate director of patient and family experience at Dayton Children’s Hospital, where she sets organizational strategy and leads teams responsible for patient experience analytics and improvement, patient relations, language services, chaplain services, child life, and the child care center. Under her leadership, Dayton Children’s has achieved ten consecutive years of improvement in key patient-experience measures. She has expanded access to language services and significantly strengthened the child life, music therapy, and facility dog programs—enhancing the emotional and developmental support available to families throughout their care journey.

Amy leverages data, quality-improvement methods, and cross-functional collaboration to identify experience gaps and drive meaningful change. She has contributed to building a strategic employee-engagement and well-being program, and serves on various financial vitality committees, helping to identify and advance systemwide financial-stewardship initiatives.

Locally, Amy serves on the Ronald McDonald House Southwest Ohio board, bringing insight into family needs during hospitalization, expertise in strengthening supportive-care programs, and experience leading initiatives that ease stress and improve outcomes for families.

On the national stage, Amy recently served on the executive steering committee for the National Pediatric Hospital Experience Collaborative, contributing to best-practice development for children’s hospitals across the country.
