Antioch College North Hall
One of the three original buildings at Antioch College, North Hall is centrally located near academic buildings and administrative offices. In 2012 the building underwent a $5.7 million renovation project to incorporate features that combined comfort and sustainable living. Heapy Engineering designed the Mechanical-Electrical systems and provided Commissioning and LEED Program Assistance.
Accommodations include large double rooms, a dining hall on first floor, lounge areas on each floor, kitchenettes on upper floors, an eco-friendly geothermal mechanical system, a heat recovery system and wireless internet service.
Due to the age of the building, the project included the design of a complete replacement of all of the plumbing, heating, ventilating, and electrical systems in the building including all piping, ductwork, conduit, wire and equipment.

Antioch’s North Hall is now considered the second oldest building in the world to achieve LEED certification at any level in the new construction and major renovations LEED category, and the second oldest to achieve LEED Gold certification in the same category.
