Oakwood City Schools
Heapy Engineering conducted a Master Plan study for infrastructure upgrades and improvements for three Oakwood Schools including cost estimating to establish a project budget for a bond issue.
Heapy then designed the Mechanical-Electrical systems for classroom additions, science lab renovations, ADA upgrades as well as infrastructure upgrades and improvements for Smith Elementary, Harmon Elementary and the Junior High / High School. The total project included 35,000 SF of new construction, 20,000 SF of renovation, and infrastructure upgrades to 300,000 SF of existing buildings.
The project was completed in 2004 with a Mechanical-Electrical construction cost of $2,000,000 and a total construction cost of $13,000,000.
