Heapy Engineering provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Performance Specification Design for the fast-tracked three-wing, four-story 160,000 SF brick residence hall project at the University of Dayton.Technology Systems design involved a traditional, full design plan and specification package.
The University of Dayton is building 21st century facilities that mix living and learning -- all to accommodate a new generation of students. This project consists of a multifunctional facility that includes: student housing, a technologically advanced learning center with futuristic classrooms, conference rooms, campus ministry offices, a bookstore, post office, credit union, food emporium and worship space.
Heapy designed the building to employ wired and wireless technology systems for overall flexibility in student use.
The Design Build project was completed in 2004 with a Mechanical-Electrical construction cost of $6,650,000 and a total construction cost of $22,000,000.
