Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine
Heapy Engineering designed the Mechanical-Electrical systems for the Phased addition and renovation to the existing center on the main campus.
This project allows the WSU School of Medicine program to teach the first and second year medical students in this new facility. The 10,000 SF addition includes a new primary entry, lecture facility, and offices, labs, and prep areas for anatomy education.
Renovations to the existing 18,000 SF center include new instructional space, student affairs center, and an administrative suite. Another major component was the renovation of an existing Atrium into a dynamic student lounge and focal space for the school.
The project was completed in 2007 with a Mechanical-Electrical construction cost of $2,570,000 and a total construction cost of $10,925,000.
