City of Columbus Fire Station #10
Heapy Engineering provided the LEED Program Management and Commissioning services for the new 21,328 SF Fire Station No. 10. The new structure is a single story with four apparatus bays.
The new Fire Station No. 10 replaces the historic and oldest operating Fire Station in the City of Columbus. The new building reflects the historic character of the area, but is LEED certified in accordance with the Mayor’s “Green Initiative.” Green elements include: energy efficient lighting, HVAC systems, water usage efficiency, recycled materials, triple pane windows, polished concrete floors, and insulation.
This project is LEED Gold.
The project was completed in 2009 with a total construction cost of $4,454,208.
