Engineered Systems Magazine Highlights Miami University Dorm Projects

Logo 2015Heapy Engineering's Alec Carnes was recently quoted in an Engineered Systems Magazine article highlighting the energy efficient design of the two original dorms on the campus of Miami University (OH). Three-story Elliott Hall, was built in 1825 in the Federal style and modeled after Connecticut Hall at Yale University. Nine years later, Miami built Stoddard Hall (a mirror image of Elliott). These buildings presented significant challenges both historically and in available space for the new HVAC equipment.
